Canadian class action settlements open for claims
Class actions work a little differently in Canada. Cases proceed in provincial superior courts or the Federal Court, and national settlements often need approval in Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia separately. Quebec class members frequently have their own French-language notices and claim portals, so where a bilingual official site exists, that is the one we link. Amounts below are in Canadian dollars.

- The Government of Canada online accounts breach settlement (the 2020 CRA and GCKey credential-stuffing attacks) is approved, but the claims portal had not opened as of our last check. You can already confirm eligibility on the administrator's site; a roughly six-month claims window is expected once filing opens.
- Government settlements (Canadian Armed Forces, Indian Boarding Homes, Ontario lockdowns) include narrative or records-based assessment tiers, and several offer claimant support lines and counselling resources through the administrator.
