STIIIZY Data Breach Settlement

Cannabis brand STIIIZY faced claims that it failed to protect customer data before a hacking incident it announced in early January 2025. Rather than continue litigating, the company agreed to put $2.95 million into a settlement fund. Class members can pick between a receipts-backed reimbursement of up to $7,500 or a no-documentation cash share, and everyone who claims also gets two years of credit monitoring. California claimants receive a larger cut of the pro rata pool because of that state's stronger privacy statutes.

Anyone whose personal or private health information was exposed in the security incident that STIIIZY disclosed on January 7, 2025. Affected individuals typically received a breach notification from the company.

Documented loss reimbursement up to $7,500, or a pro rata cash payment requiring no documentation (California residents get a double share), plus two years of free credit monitoring with $1M identity theft insurance.

No payment amount is ever guaranteed. Pro rata payouts shrink as more valid claims come in, and every payment waits on final court approval and any appeals.
