700Credit, a credit-report and compliance vendor used by auto dealerships, detected an intrusion in late October 2025 that exposed consumer data collected during vehicle financing. A $17.5 million settlement followed, with notices going out to affected consumers in mid-2026. Claimants can either document up to $2,500 in breach-related losses or skip the paperwork and take a $50 cash option, though both figures can shrink if claims volume is high. Filings are due online or by mail by September 22, 2026.

Either reimbursement of ordinary documented losses up to $2,500 or a flat $50 alternative cash payment, both subject to pro rata adjustment.
