Sprouts is paying about $5 million to end claims that its registers printed too many card digits on customer receipts, which the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act forbids because it raises fraud risk. The class covers card and EBT transactions at Sprouts stores over roughly a two- to three-year window ending in 2022 and 2023. People who got a mailed or emailed notice can file a short claim form, while everyone else needs a receipt or card statement to back up a long-form claim. Claims are due August 5, 2026, and the court takes up final approval on November 19, 2026.

Shoppers who paid with a personal credit or debit card at a Sprouts store between August 16, 2020 and October 31, 2022, or with an EBT card between March 15, 2021 and April 15, 2023, and walked away with a printed receipt showing more than the last five digits of their card number.
