After the opening night of the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix, when Friday's FP2 practice ran in front of emptied grandstands, ticketholders sued in Diep v. Liberty Media (D. Nev., No. 2:23-cv-02124). The roughly $3.05 million settlement compensates fans who attempted to attend that session. Anyone who bought directly from the race organizers or Ticketmaster gets paid without lifting a finger; fans who got tickets secondhand or from someone else must file with documentation by August 27, 2026. Final approval is scheduled for November 4, 2026.

People or businesses that bought or held a ticket to the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix and tried to watch the second practice session (FP2), which fans were forced to miss after a loose drain cover halted track action.
Estimated payout
Pro rata share of the fund; direct purchasers from the defendants or Ticketmaster are paid automatically, while others must file a claim.
