After gate crashing and security failures marred the 2024 Copa America final between Argentina and Colombia, ticketholders sued the stadium operator, both soccer confederations, and the crowd-management contractor, producing a $14 million settlement. Payment tiers separate fans who never got in, who can claim up to $2,000 per ticket including some travel costs, from fans who entered but lost access to their seats or facilities, who get $100 per ticket.
