These settlements grow out of the sprawling generic pharmaceuticals price-fixing litigation, in which drugmakers were accused of coordinating to inflate prices on scores of common generics. Court-approved end-payer settlements total roughly $533 million: $275 million from Sandoz and Fougera, $200 million from Sun and Taro, and $58 million from Heritage and Apotex.
