What this settlement is about

In Hoffman v. FitOn Inc. (Kings County, NY Supreme Court, Index No. 542301/2025), the fitness app was accused of sharing subscribers' video-viewing activity in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act. FitOn agreed to a settlement with a $2.5 million net benefit cap, paying a flat $10 to each approved claimant. No documentation beyond the claim form is required. All deadlines to claim, opt out, or object fall on August 31, 2026, with final approval set for October 6, 2026.

Who is eligible

U.S. residents who had a FitOn account at any point between October 22, 2022 and May 29, 2026 and used the platform to stream its pre-recorded workout videos.
