What this settlement is about
This settlement resolves claims that certain Bestway spa pumps sold from May 2021 through May 2024 had a defect serious enough to trigger a recall through the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Bestway denies any wrongdoing but agreed to compensate affected buyers. Class members who first participate in the CPSC recall can then file a settlement claim for a payment of up to $75. Claims, opt-outs, and objections are all due October 5, 2026, ahead of a November 4, 2026 approval hearing.
Who is eligible
People who obtained a Bestway AirJet or HydroJet spa pump in one of nine recalled model numbers (including P05332, P05339, P05711, P05807, P07000, P07001, P05511, P07034, and P07572) between May 2021 and May 2024. Claimants generally need to take part in the related CPSC recall before submitting a settlement claim.
Estimated payout
Up to $75 per claimant.
No payment amount is ever guaranteed. Pro rata payouts shrink as more valid claims come in, and every payment waits on final court approval and any appeals.
